Hi,
after 10 years of providing a forum and cup platform for HL2DM,
i have to announce the final end of the OldSchool Community end of May 2023.
We started 10 years ago very well with the help of
Maxtasy, KoN, Humam, Sh, QuAz, frozen, Snipe2Die, Matthew and Foresty
as cup manager, moderators and more.
But nothing will be constant, and meanwhile this site is nearly idle,
last cup was played 2 years ago and forum isn't used since 1 year.
So i decide to finally close down this site.
This also includes the steam group with the last activity 4 years ago.
Both will be drop and deleted end of May 2023.

Hi Silla, Can you please not remove the steam group? I am in the process of backing up all the matches from this site, which I will re-upload on a new site and I would like to include that link in the steam group. Removing the steam group also makes no sense as there are many inactive steam groups that people still keep for memory. If it is possible, could you extend the closing of this site by another week or so to make sure I have enough time to back everything up? |

Hi, i have no direct control of the real "shutdown" of the server. the contract runs til may, so it could be on 1st may or 10th may. as far as i know it is more like the 10th may or later. keep copy the site. furthermore i will gift you the steam group if the server goes down, i cancle my plan to drop the group. i will give it to you, but remember, you can NOT rename the group and also you can NOT rename the link, this is terrible unsupported by steam, this is why i prefered to remove the group and make new onces ... it would up to you than. |

Thanks for everything, i had great time and the site guided me well the time when i was a kid and didn't know a thing about hl2dm. when i look at this site i still remember the kid that had been trying to copy pro players haha... those were the days.

Thank you Silla for your hard work all these years. It's a shame that the site is inactive as the community is still alive and playing every day. I don't know why people stopped using this site and prefer a discord group :( Time to archive everything for posterity :p
