-This is commonly used by player that are able to handle low and high sensitivities. As well we can find it useful because some weapons doesnt need a exact degree of accuracy, just more damage radius, fast swipes or anything that needs higher speeds instead of precision.A good example is to set Weapon 357 to a low value and weapon physcannon to a higher value(so you can realize fast 360º degrees with easily with no mice acceleration set).
There are some small issues on this weapon binds setup:
1st:If you press a key binded to a weapon with a different sensitivity, resulting that this weapon has no ammo, the weapon wont switch, but sensitivity will change so be careful to not press it when the weapon you want to change is out of ammo.
2nd:For phys_swap users the sensitivity will be the same ,if you switch the weapon with it
3rd:If you are holding a object with gravity gun,and during the time you are wearing it you try to change the weapon(with the sensitivity switch binds),the gravity gun sensitivity weapon will switch but the weapon wont change because you cant switch weapons while holding a object with it .
-I personally recommend taking note of this issues to set the sensitivity switch to only permanent weapons(physcannon, crowbar) or initial ones(pistol,smg,frags..)
bind "x" "sensitivity 1.64;use weapon_rpg" bind "x" "sensitivity 1.64;use weapon_pistol" bind "x" "sensitivity 1.64;use weapon_SLAM" bind "x" "sensitivity 1.64;use weapon_frag" bind "x" "sensitivity 1.64;use weapon_ar2" bind "x" "sensitivity 1.64;use weapon_shotgun" bind "x" "sensitivity 1.64;use weapon_physcannon" bind "x" "sensitivity 1.64;use weapon_crossbow" bind "x" "sensitivity 1.64; use weapon_smg1" bind "x" "sensitivity 1.64;use weapon_357" bind "x" "sensitivity 1.64;use weapon_stunstick;use weapon_crowbar"
-Where "x" set your key. -Change sensitivity 1.64 to any other desired value
In this code i used only the sensitivity command, but you can also it combine it with anything toggleable, but personally find it useful to combine it with mice cvars, some others cvars you can deal with:
m_yaw:horizontal sensitivity multiplier,default value 0.022.
*m_pitch:Vertical sensitivity multiplier, default value 0.022 .This variable is locked on many source engine games(it includes hl2).
m_custom_accel and subtypes:enables mice acceleration, renember this value is technically better than Windows acceleration
There are other mice cvars but generally this will be useful for your weapon setup.
Hope it helps to anyone looking for a better weapon handling.Best Regards MINO
